Confessions of a Picture Perfect Player

(Part of the Frat House Confessions Multi-Author Series)

𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘴:

When I was a kid all I wanted to do was play baseball.

My dad played, so did my older brother, so naturally, I’d play too. I was the fastest pitcher at Preston

University, and I was a member of Alpha Sigma Zeta

Fraternity.

Life couldn’t be better.

But what happens when your picture-perfect dream turns to sh*t and you realize you’ve been living someone else’s aspirations, living out their ambition because they never made it.

I’ve come to question everything about my life. Me, my family, even my Frat brothers. I also dated all the wrong girls to get my kicks, that is until she came along, Skye Garcia.

She was a breath of fresh air in a world where everything was so stilted and ideal.

She made me see that my life was just that, mine, and I could be anything I wanted to be.

𝘚𝘬𝘺𝘦:

I’m not into Frat guys.

I’m not even part of the popular girl groups.

I came to Preston University with one aim in mind: art.

I wanted a studio one day and nothing was going to change that.

College was all about following your dreams after all.

Until I was thrust into Travis Jones’ world.

He was everything I went against and didn’t want, but yet he did something to me that none of the other guys could do; he made me feel wanted.

When his past issues threaten to tear us apart will he let me in to help him, or will he push me away as he does to everyone?

Am I prepared to risk my heart to a man that expected everything to be so perfect?
